The Milwaukee solar group buy program wrapped up its most successful year to date in 2019, resulting in 48 homeowners installing 255.70 kilowatts of new solar installations. Viking Cruises recently unveiled its entry into the Great Lakes cruise market beginning in 2022, with Milwaukee selected as a primary destination. The company’s Viking Expeditions joins the renowned Viking River Cruises and Viking Ocean Cruises, offering travel experiences that highlight the destinations it visits. Register of Deeds initiates cost savings plan to store real estate records for Milwaukee County

Milwaukee County Executive Chris Abele and the Milwaukee County Register of Deeds (ROD) Israel Ramón announced major reforms for 2020 on January 6, which include changing providers for credit card services, updating record storage and creating personnel efficiencies. These reforms are expected to save $150,000 annually. South-facing facade of Downtown’s 2nd Street Skywalk to become newest canvas for public mural

Milwaukee Downtown BID #21 is seeking submissions from local artists and artist collectives for a new mural in Westown. The intended canvas is the south-facing façade of the 2nd Street skywalk, between Wisconsin Avenue and Michigan Street. This first-of-its-kind mural in downtown Milwaukee will strengthen pedestrian connectivity between existing parking structures and soon-to-open attractions, such as the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra Center and 3rd Street Market Hall. First concert from new Milwaukee Symphony Center to be broadcast live on Milwaukee PBS

The Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra recently announced a partnership with Milwaukee PBS to live broadcast the orchestra’s first subscription concert in the new Milwaukee Symphony Center.
