GoFundMe campaign raises funds to buy meals for frontline hospital workers from local restaurants

With restaurants struggling to stay open and hospital staff working intensely long hours under stress, a late-night text message between friends Christina Wilson Berger and Preeth Kurudiyara resulted in an opportunity to help. The Feed Our Frontline Hospital Staff MKE GoFundMe campaign launched on March 28 and raised $12,605 of its $25,000 goal by April 2. St. Francis Seminary to provide shelter for residents with housing instability during COVID-19 crisis

Milwaukee County elected officials leading the local response to COVID-19 announced on March 29 the opening of a temporary shelter for residents with housing instability as part of regional efforts to slow the spread of the virus. Milwaukee rolls out “drive-up” option for early voting to eliminate risk of COVID-19 exposure

The City of Milwaukee Election Commission launched a “drive-up” early voting option for voters on Saturday, March 28 outside of the Zeidler Municipal Building at 841 N. Broadway. This model of early voting provides important access to voting for city residents, but eliminate the risk of exposure to COVID-19 for election workers and the voting public.
