Wisconsin residents file Federal lawsuit over dangers and disorder during controversial April 7 election

A class-action lawsuit was filed Monday asking a federal court to order a partial revote of the presidential primary and spring election conducted on April 7 despite the COVID-19 outbreak or to otherwise establish mail-in procedures for anyone who did not vote in that election. ACLU seeks release of vulnerable people from Wisconsin prisons amid coronavirus health crisis

The American Civil Liberties Union of Wisconsin filed a lawsuit on April 10 in the Wisconsin Supreme Court seeking the release of elderly and vulnerable people from state prisons in order to avoid a dangerous outbreak that would further strain the state’s health care capacity and put public health at risk. Passenger overcrowding forces MCTS to limit 10 riders per bus for health safety beginning April 9

During the daily COVID-19 video press conference on April 7, Milwaukee County Executive Chris Abele said that he was left with no choice but to take action concerning the overcrowding of Milwaukee County Transit System (MCTS) buses.
