Just weeks after the Department of Public Instruction (DPI) issued its ruling against the Burlington Area School District (BASD) for their failure to redress their “hostile racial environment,” the Burlington Coalition for Dismantling Racism (BCDR) has received additional reports of the District mishandling acts of racism in its schools. Digital wellness space launched to serve local LGBTQ+ community after a second year without PrideFest

The parent organization of PrideFest, Wisconsin’s largest LGBTQ+ event, went live with a digital Health & Wellness space on May 3, in an effort to serve the community despite no physical June festival. Governor Evers plans $420M in small business recovery grants after vetoing effort to siphon ARPA funds

Governor Tony Evers announced on April 22 that the state would award up to $420 million to small businesses affected by the COVID-19 pandemic through the new Wisconsin Tomorrow Small Business Recovery Grant program, a collaboration between the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC) and the Department of Revenue (DOR).
