The official name of Downtown Milwaukee’s new neighborhood, Deer District, was unveiled recently with the release of its commercial website, DeerDistrict.com
The 30-acre space is anchored by Fiserv Forum, home to the city’s professional basketball team, the Milwaukee Bucks and host site of the upcoming 2020 Democratic National Convention. The district’s website was designed to present comprehensive information on projects under development, events for the public, and opportunities for the business community.
“We are proud to announce Deer District as the name of this transformative project that is creating an exciting and bustling neighborhood in downtown Milwaukee,” said Michael Belot, Senior Vice President of Bucks Ventures and Development. “DeerDistrict.com will be a great resource for the public to learn about the continued development and all the exciting projects to come.”
Featuring Fiserv Forum at the center, Deer District is positioned to be a 365-day destination that serves as a hub for Milwaukee’s vibrant downtown. The area will support festivities, dining and entertainment options, and commercial, retail, and residential space.
In addition to Fiserv Forum, the Deer District encompasses the Plaza, the Entertainment Block, and the Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin Sports Science Center. Developments currently under construction include The MECCA Sports Bar and Grill and the Five Fifty Ultralofts. Already serving the public along McKinley Avenue are the Good City Brewing, Punch Bowl Social, and Drink Wisconsinbly.
