Wauwatosa seeking artists to install murals for new outdoor art corridor

The City of Wauwatosa is seeking submissions from artists for its summer project, a new corridor of outdoor murals clustered around the East Tosa area near North Avenue and 68th and 69th Streets. There will be up to six new murals installed in a tightly concentrated area when artists are finished installing in July. The grouping of walls will be within walking distance of each other, so visitors can explore the city, discover nearby businesses, and pose with the murals. Stolen MTCS bus shelter artwork returned after released video shows heist mastermind

The strange story of artwork stolen from a Milwaukee County Transit System (MCTS) bus shelter took an unusual twist when the unique piece was returned to where it had been stolen. Some individual placed the artwork back on the shelter on September 22, one day after the thief’s image was featured in local news reports.
