For the second summer in a row, Milwaukee has seen a partnership between local businesses and the art community to improve the city’s economic health and social wellbeing. The Frank Juarez Gallery will present the “Street Artists of Milwaukee” exhibition, featuring works by five Wisconsin artists with street art experience, from June 24 to August 5. The five Artists hired by the Kinnickinnic Avenue BID have begun the installation of five large-scale murals on commercial buildings located along the Kinnickinnic and Howell Avenue retail corridor. The BID is a non-profit organization tasked with supporting business and development along its namesake “main street” in Bay View. The all-female roster of artists is a unifying theme for the Street Canvas murals.
