On September 21, Mayor Tom Barrett unveiled the City of Milwaukee’s expanded Better Buildings Challenge program, offering a streamlined customer service process and additional resources to help owners and managers make their buildings more competitive and energy efficient. The Tomato Romp Festival on the East Side of Milwaukee is home to the first ever rotten tomato fight in North America, and this year all proceeds from the battle benefited the Hunger Task Force. The Tomato Romp is North America’s first rotten tomato fight for a good cause with proceeds donated to the Hunger Task Force to help end hunger in our community. The 10th Annual Tomato Romp Festival kicks-off September 10th on Milwaukee’s East Side, in a day of eating, drinking and throwing over-ripe tomatoes.
