Filled with wall-to-wall with spy memorabilia from the Cold War era, the Safe House has been one of the best kept secret institutions in Milwaukee since 1966. The espionage-themed restaurant was sold by its creator and owner Dave Baldwin to the Milwaukee-based Marcus Corp in June 2015. Baldwin later passed away in December, shortly after his retirement. The location has undergone significant renovations since January 2016. This photo essay was a sneak peak of the location just before it opened again to the public on March 11.
