Mayor Cavalier Johnson was joined by officials from the City of Milwaukee, the State of Wisconsin, and the Great Lakes region on October 19 to celebrate a banner year for the city’s growing cruising industry. Governor Tony Evers, together with the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR), launched the PFAS Interactive Data Viewer on October 18, a new tool to understand how polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) are impacting Wisconsin’s lands and waters. The PFAS Interactive Data Viewer is an interactive mapping tool that combines multiple types of data into one resource and shows where PFAS have been found in Wisconsin. Governor Evers plans to invest millions to improve access to clean drinking water across the state

Governor Tony Evers, together with the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR), announced a new $10 million grant program on August 17 to support the replacement, reconstruction, treatment, or abandonment of contaminated private wells. The program, based on the state’s Well Compensation Grant Program, will expand eligibility beyond the current Well Compensation Program to support more private well owners and increase access to clean drinking water.
