The academic institution will build on a decade-long reputation for sustainability with its climate commitment. University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Chancellor Mark Mone deepened the university’s commitment to environmental sustainability and cost-effective operations on February 14. He signed a formal pledge to shrink UWM’s carbon footprint and build its capacity to adapt to climate change and other environmental stressors. $5M state grant to fund St. Ann’s Bucyrus Campus completion

St. Ann Center for Intergenerational Care was included in the Governor’s proposed biennial budget as a non-state agency grant recipient. The $5 million will be used exclusively to fund construction costs to complete its Bucyrus Campus, 2450 W. North Ave. The center opened in September 2015 after raising about $19 million of the $26 million needed to complete the project.
