Cyber security center begins operations at Marquette University

With growing national concern about cyber security, the center will provide education, services and research to the Marquette campus and the region. Marquette University has established a Center for Cyber Security Awareness and Cyber Defense to serve as the university’s primary hub for cyber security education and research. MATC to receive $84.9M from FCC broadcast auction

Milwaukee Area Technical College (MATC) announced that it will receive one-time proceeds of $84,931,314 as a result of its voluntary participation in the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) broadcast incentive auction. The auction was created to free up bandwidth to accommodate the growing capacity needs for wireless technology. The MATC Foundation received a $104,000 gift from the Greater Milwaukee Foundation Hank Aaron Fund and the Hank Aaron Chasing the Dream Foundation 4 for 4 Scholarship program.
