After inaction by legislature Attorney General Kaul files lawsuit to block Wisconsin’s 1849 abortion law

Governor Tony Evers and Wisconsin Attorney General Josh Kaul announced on June 28 a new lawsuit challenging Wisconsin’s criminal abortion ban. Two years after President Abraham Lincoln issued the Emancipation Proclamation, which freed enslaved persons in the Confederates states in 1865, Union major general Gordon Granger landed in Galveston, Texas, and delivered the news. County Executive David Crowley joined 112 local veterans taking part in the “We Energies Stars and Stripes Honor Flight” that took off on April 23.
