Johnson Controls settles with SEC over China corruption case

Johnson Controls settles investigation of its marine business in China after self-reporting to U.S. government. On July 11, the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) announced that a Wisconsin-based global provider of HVAC systems has agreed to pay more than $14,000,000 to settle charges that it violated the books and records and internal accounting controls provisions of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA).
